What People Want to See in Your Website Copy

This is an absolutely relevant question when you're looking for a web content writer who can write influential content that can incidentally convince your potential customers to purchase something from you. But there is a difference between the role car insurance online quote a copywriter and a web copy writer. I am going to highlight the difference here in this article.

The copywriter writes to convince a bunch of non-believers or half-believers

Before I started for websites, I started out writing copy for auto insurance estimates radio ads and also magazine advertorials. This is where I found my footing as a freelance writer and frankly speaking, it's got me off to a good start because that's where I learned the fundamental basics about writing persuasive copy for advertisements.

But as I move along on my journey as a freelance writer, I realize that there's a remarkable difference between a copy writer and a web content copy writer - the copywriter is always writing to a bunch of people who are either non-believers or half-believers.

The work of an advertisement copywriter is, generally speaking, is aimed at the general consumers at large. When I write an advertisement copy, I sit down and think of the Johns and Janes, tens of thousands of them, looking at the advertisement. I imagine what they look like and anticipate their reaction when they read the copy that I have written.

Every word has got to resonate with power and the message direct and clear.

The web content copy writer writes for almost-believers

As I evolved in my career as a freelance writer, I suddenly realize that, through painful hours of revision and editing, when I sit down to write a web content, I have to imagine a whole new bunch of people. They're LOOKING, they actually looking for an answer! This means, that when writing web content for my clients, I have to discard with the average John and Jane image in my mind. What I should envision is someone who has finally found what they are looking for - and they're browsing through....hoping to find an answer.

It's like when you log onto Google looking for a cure for cancer. And you chance upon a website with brilliantly written web copy that tells you about how the cure that they've found can change your life. You're looking for it - and you've found it. The joy that surges through your bloodstream!

This is how web surfers are...most of them, anyway. What surfers want is an answer and content on a web page that tells them exactly what it is that they've found, right to the point, and if it's the answer that they wanted.

Web content copy writers have to learn to write to earn trust and loyalty

I repeat this to every new SEO client or web content client that I get - that I have to write in a fashion whereby I can help earn the potential customer's trust. Without it, there's no business to speak of, come to think of it!

The internet is a faceless platform, therefore, you have to hire a copywriter who can send the right message across in the shortest period of time and help the customers believe that you are the one that they've been looking for.
